Music notes correspond to colors. Take a look at this picture of piano keys with their corresponding colors according to Hertz measurements. Amazing! The body contains many colors and frequencies. Blood is red; lymph fluid is yellowish; bile, a digestive fluid, is green. Many people have blue eyes. Purple, being a high frequency, is said to represent thought. The Creator’s design throughout the entire universe is awesome! Using very sensitive measuring devices, we have discovered the incredible impact of music and color upon health.
History of Music
Music frequencies have been in existence since creation with songbirds filling the air with beautiful melodies, the sound of relaxing flowing water, and whistling winds. Egyptians were playing harps at the beginning of their ancient culture. Later, around 1500 BC, guitars were developed by the Hittites, adding a variety of chords to the music being played.
Around 600 BC Pythagoras systematically documenting the science behind music and its healing values. Less than 200 years later, the Greeks started developing musical notes and writing songs, spending many leisurely hours developing therapeutic melodies.
Another benchmark was around 1000 AD when a Benedictine monk, Guido d’Arezzo, designated specific names to the vocal note scale, which is still in use today: do (C), re (D), mi (E), fa (F), so (G), la (A), ti (B). You might recognize this popular scale from the movie, “The Sound of Music.”
As technology progressed, frequencies were discovered for the music scale using Hertz measurements. The Hertz scale was named after Heinrich Hertz, a scientist who demonstrated conclusive proof of electromagnetic waves in the late 1800’s. Hertz measurements represent one cycle per second. An astounding discovery!
Therapeutic Value of Music
During the mid-1970’s, Dr. Joseph Puleo found six electro-magnetic sound frequencies which correspond to the beginning notes of an ancient Hymn to St. John the Baptist. His findings verify Guido d’Arezzo’s documentation. These therapeutic tones were named the Solfeggio Frequencies.
David Hulse, a professional sound therapist with 40 years of experience, correlates emotions with each Solfeggio frequency (which are somewhat correlated to colors). Disregard charts depicting the Solfeggio frequencies as the colors of the rainbow. This depiction is not scientific. The above chart reveals the true colors of Hz measurements in the visible spectrum.
- 396Hz – Liberating Guilt and Fear
- 417Hz – Undoing Situations and Facilitating Change
- 528Hz – Transformation and DNA repair
- 639Hz – Connecting/Relationships
- 741Hz – Expression/Solutions
- 852Hz – Returning to Spiritual Order
Music Notes and Color Frequencies
- Note G – 392Hz 1012 = Red
- Note A – 440Hz 1012 = Orange
- Note B – 494Hz 1012 = Yellow
- Note C – 523Hz 1012 = Green
- Note D – 587Hz 1012 = Blue
- Note E – 659Hz 1012 = Indigo
- Note F – 698Hz 1012 = Violet
When comparing the Solfeggio sound frequencies to visible light frequencies, notice that colors are in the general range of 400 trillion (1012) Hz to 700 trillion (1012) Hz. Our entire audible range is 20 – 20,000Hz. Light travels incredibly faster than sound. Hertz frequencies slightly higher than visible light are in the infrared and far infrared range, corresponding to some frequencies in our energy field. All life contains both visible and invisible frequencies; we see certain frequencies (colors), and we hear and sense other frequencies. Our spirit resonates in the higher invisible frequency range. Thus, certain music played at higher frequencies may positively affect our spirit. On the other hand, there are super high frequencies that adversely affect the energy field of the body. The Safety section shares information about disharmonic and potentially harmful electromagnetic fields (EMFs).
At a certain point, the comparison between sound and light frequencies ends because sound only travels through a medium, while light is able to travel through a vacuum. But, the frequency correlations are very interesting to think about for comprehending the complexity of life. Also note that visible light simply covers a factor of two (doubles its frequencies) while audible sound covers a factor of 1,000 from 20 to 20,000Hz. Interesting!
Dr. Glen Rein, a biochemistry researcher (neuroscience, immunology, psychoneuroimmunology, and bioelectromagnetics) has been performing interesting scientific studies for over 25 years, and has been sharing information based upon his clinical studies about the effects of music on the regeneration of human DNA, especially 528Hz.
History of Color Therapy
Thousands of years ago, Egyptians and Greeks painted rooms with various colors for therapeutic purposes. In their ancient records, they simply documented red as being stimulating and blue as being relaxing. In the 2,000 year old Chinese book, “Yellow Emperor’s Inner Classic,” many color remedies are outlined and to this day still used in Chinese medicine.
During the early 1500’s, Paracelsus, a great physician, stressed the importance of light and color in healing along with staying in harmony with nature. Prescribing mineral water as a remedy was one of his greatest accomplishments.
In the mid-1600’s Sir Isaac Newton began popularizing the ROYGBIV color spectrum of the rainbow. He documented observing this spectrum with a beam of white light passing through a prism. Artists began developing the primary colors and color wheel concept around this time.
In the 1800’s, chromotherapy began appearing in journals. This is the science of using colors therapeutically for balancing or increasing color frequencies in the body Each color has a vibration, as expressed in the Solfeggio frequencies. Lack of certain vibrations corresponds to symptoms or ailments. There is so much wonderful information to explore on this topic!
See the posts Color Therapy and Colors of the Chemical Elements of the Periodic Table. Color frequencies surround us everywhere and must be kept in harmonic balance for optimum energy flow within the body.
Balance is Best
Reaching your highest energy level actually occurs when your body frequencies are in balance. For example, when a frequency, like red, is out of balance it may create a hyper (too fast) state. When a different frequency, like blue, is out of balance it may create a hypo (too slow) state. You may have heard of seasonal affected disorder (SAD) when people suffer from a lack of sun. Increasing light during the winter aids in reducing the feeling of depression and lack of energy.
Red – tends to inspire work and physical strength.
Orange – generates endurance and productivity.
Yellow – increases enjoyment and humor.
Green – being in the center of the color spectrum, supports natural equilibrium.
Blue – begins balancing the intense colors by relaxing tension and anxiety.
Indigo – brings calmness deep into the body inspiring creativity.
Violet – eases the mind into the process of learning and growing.
Music for Balancing Energy
An enjoyable method for balancing frequencies is listening to special frequency music. Steve Rees developed Tabernacle Prayer. This hour-long CD provides about ten minutes of harp music for each Solfeggio frequency.
Steve bases most of his songs on King David’s harp music found in the Psalms. Remember when King Saul wasn’t feeling well and he called for David to play harp music? I Samuel 16 gives an account of King Saul feeling better after listening to David’s soothing melodies.
1 Samuel 16:16 (NLT)
“Let us find a good musician to play the harp whenever the tormenting spirit troubles you. He will play soothing music, and you will soon be well again.”
Benefits of Harp Music
- Improve blood pressure
- The Mozart effect
- Enhance child development
- Assist with pain management
- Help soothe and calm the soul
- Fights against depression
- Aid in surgical recovery
- Induce sleep and relaxation
- Increase performance and concentration
Harp Frequency Music
Enjoy beautiful harp music by Steve Rees for the restoration of mind and body. Composed in 10 minute sections for harmonizing each organ system at the energetic level with Scripture frequencies (Solfeggio frequencies). This music was discovered in Numbers 7:12-83 and in combination with the pieces of furniture of the Tabernacle: Brazen Altar – 396Hz, Laver – 417Hz, Menorah – 528Hz, Table of Showbread – 639Hz, Altar of Incense – 741Hz, Ark of the Covenant – 852Hz.
